ECONOMIC SECURITY TO MEET BASIC NEEDS

Not all Americans can meet their basic needs for health and safety.  Some families cannot pay their monthly rent or mortgage, buy groceries, pay medical expenses, child care and other basic life necessities. Lack of income, savings and access to loans to meet basic needs does not allow people to thrive or reach their highest potential. These money stresses can also lead to higher levels of domestic violence, toxic stress, mental health problems, and other poor health outcomes. These policies would help people meet their basic needs for life, health, and safety.
